It’s official Scarefest will be going ahead!! As will Oktoberfest! Here is all the information you guys will need to know & was shared with us via Alton Towers PR team!

Alton Towers will have no closed days during September or October for an additional chance for families to enjoy the park.

From September 11th – October 4th you can enjoy Oktoberfest which is free with your entry ticket. This entertainment led festival will take place each afternoon from 3pm and will include; live acts, beautiful food & drink. Not to forget you can also experience the fab coasters & family attractions into the evening. The theme park will transform into a Bavarian themed venue with Lederhosen host & oompah band.

Running from October 9th – 1st November (on selected dates) will be featuring two brand new attractions. One of which is The Freak Show Toxic Junkyard. A brand new outdoor scare maze which shares the description of “It will invite the foolhardy to venture into the Freak Show hidden den, to discover the secrets of the psycho clowns” next big show.

Experience the Alton Towers gardens like never before and witness as they come alive for the second brand new attraction for 2020. “Garden Lights Walk: Whispering Souls”. This attraction will be included in your entry ticket as part of the family line which also includes The Freaky Five & CBeebies Monster Ball.

Returning attractions also include:

The Attic

Darkest Depth

Altonville Mine Tours

As usual the resort will be opening until 9pm during the selected Scarefest dates. This is a fab opportunity to experience the rides & rollercoasters at night as well.

Both of the mentioned events are planned in strict accordance to Covid-19 & will adapt measures should the guidance change nearer the time. The events will be held in open-air or well ventilated venues. Capacity will remain capped at a level to maintain social distancing within the theme park, entertainment spaces & scare mazes. There will be full details released nearer to the time.

We are very excited to see how both events will work & also experience the brand new Oktoberfest. Of course, to also experience the two brand new attractions joining this years line up for Scarefest. Will you be attending either of the events?
