So Nemesis is an absolute classic and staple ride within the UK. Theming is quite subtle compared to other coasters we’ve experienced. I wouldn’t say it’s in your face as such but it’s also not really hidden. The station has to be one of the best aspects of theming overall. Since it’s recent paint job it’s even more beautiful then it once was. I believe this season was when the new atmospheric lighting got added into the station. Admittedly it’s added a sense of theming within the station and created a mood.
There isn’t theming as such within the queue line but it does offer some beautiful views of the coaster itself. If you’ve visited during the summer months or Halloween season you’ll no doubt of queued around the extended queue line. The sights are even more beautiful and unique given it’s not all that often you queue up there. Besides during night time the queue line is even more prettier with the track lit up in the atmospheric lighting.
Ride experience is fab and it’s one of the more intense coasters we’ve ever rode. As it’s aged certain areas have become rougher but not to a point it’s unbearable like Infusion for example. The fact the coaster is dug into a pit and the surrounded by rock work definitely impacts the ride experience completely. It’s strange as it feels so much faster then it is on paper due to the closeness to the ground.
One of our favourite elements is without a doubt the downwards helix. It’s insanely intense and then you get thrown into the zero g roll over the station. Like that just doesn’t get any better in my opinion. It’s one of those coasters which I’d rank into god tier personally.
Overall I think Nemesis is worth all the hype it receives. It’s a crazy as I just never get bored of it and every ride is decent without fail. I can understand why others may feel it’s little over hyped. Especially if they’ve rode bigger coasters around the world, yet love it or hate it there’s no denying it’s one of the best UK coasters.
