When will Valhalla’s re-imagining be completed? It’s a question on pretty much all our lips and one we are all eager to know. But for now I thought I’d share my speculation & opinions on the topic. As always I’d love to hear your thoughts as well!
Of course, 2020 has been a nightmare year. We were put on lockdown for a decent period of time due to COVID therefore without a doubt little to no work would of commenced. We’ve had the lockdown eased since July 4th therefore that’s two months worth of potential work inside the building. I genuinely believe we will see Valhalla opening in 2022 latest.
It could well open next season but it all depends on the progress made between closed season 2019 to when lockdown got enforced & of course since lockdown got eased. Of course I highly doubt an attraction which weren’t set to open for this season was top priority on the maintenance list for this season anyway. Therefore it more or less could of got the back burner until the wow weekends had begun. Which means they potentially had somewhere between a month to begin the work give & take of course. 
I feel another factor which comes into this is the scale of the re-imagining. If it’s a large project and the majority of scenes are undergoing change then i can see it been more or less 2022. However if it’s small amount of work needing to be done then potentially next season, which I’m doubtful of. From the wow weekends we done it was clear that the station was getting some work done. There was a scaffolding up which was in clear view from behind the boards. Of course 98% of this ride is indoors therefore construction updates etc are next to impossible to see. However I have no doubt that since lockdown has eased work is probably in full swing.
With the current conditions I’d look and expect more towards the 2022 mark for the re-opening. Which I’m sure we all can understand. Even though it’s sad for those who are huge fans and just those who enjoyed it. But it just means an extra season of hype and speculation right? But of course I could well be wrong we still await confirmation from Pleasure Beach themselves as to what the score is.
