Anybody who follows us on social media will know we had a big trip for the end of March. For anyone who doesn’t know we visited Legoland, Chessington, Thorpe Park & Alton Towers. There will be blogs from each of the parks so we hope you all enjoy.
Mini Land;
This area is very adorable and kills that bit of time between entering the park & rides opening. In a strange way it’s pretty educational for younger children given there’s different aspects from around the world. There’s some unique models and elements to the area too.
Atmosphere;
Truthfully we always find Legoland to be a real uplifting and happy park. It’s a place which has several of our guilty pleasures. Obliviously it’s not aimed at our age group yet it’s such an amazing park with a lovely atmosphere.
Throughputs & operations:
Sadly it wasn’t the best of days for either and there was loads of school trips. It was a Thursday and we thought we planned accordingly to lack of queues. Unfortunately it didn’t quite to plan and we left around 2pm to Chessington. The areas around Ninjago & Dragon we’re closed until 12pm. Of course that’s okay as some parks will have staggered openings. However once The Dragon opened the school children done something within the ride, which caused it to close for the rest of the day and security & management swarmed the area. We don’t the ins and outs of that but heard loads of family complaining how “one person ruins it for everyone else”.
Theming:
It never fails to impress us how well themed everything is especially The Dragon. That indoor section is incredible and probably the best start to any coaster we’ve experienced. It’s such an amazing park to visit for a whole experience whilst embracing rides.
Overall:
Legoland is a really lovely park with some incredible unique rides to the UK. It’s a place we love to visit only during off peak days. We have witnessed first hand how busier days can impact our day given the operations aren’t the best. However we love Legoland & can’t wait to visit after the new ride opens.
