The season is getting closer which means it’s time to discuss all of the brand new areas, ride and attractions set to open this season. Let us know what your most hyped about below or across our socials.
So turns out that we are getting a brand new area as well the headline attraction been the brand new dark ride. The former 4D cinema will be reopening and showing a film related to the area which is exciting. Alongside this the former rides of the area will also be receiving a re-theme like Gallopers & Frog Hopper. If your not familiar with the current area which is Cloud Cuckoo Land which was home to Ice Age 4D cinema, Twirling Toadstool, Frog Hopper & Cuckoo Driving School. It was a very exhausted area which will be brought an entire new lease of life with this re-theme. For full details in regards to what is happening at Alton Towers click HERE.
Honestly this area from the concept art looks to be one of the most beautiful in the UK. We have followed the updates provided by Theme Park Worldwide I’ll pop a link HERE. As it’s gradually been coming together it’s becoming to look so pretty. Of course within this area is a fair few new editions in regards to rides. The main attraction been Storm Chaser the Mack Spinning Coaster. This will be the first of its kind we experience as well. Zamperla Gyro Swing, Two Children’s Drop Towers & Driving School. Not to forget the likes of a brand new restaurant & gift shops etc set to open too. All of which look incredibly themed!
Rumour has it this Intamin will be lap bar and a newer model than what we already know (Colossus). If the rumours are true about lap bars this could pretty fab. Of course, we do enjoy Colossus at Thorpe Park but for us, it would be the better ride with more bearable restraints. This rollercoaster does look like its set to be fab either way & we can’t wait to experience it.
This year Legoland Windsor is opening yet another new ride. This new rollercoaster is aimed for the younger audience and will be a junior coaster. Which is really exciting to have one more coaster amongst the park.
Of course us adults can’t visit these attractions without children. However, for those who have a family, there’s a brand new Gullivers Land opening in Yorkshire this Spring! Which should be exciting for those with children.
Chessington are also adding a brand new area to their line up which will feature 3 attractions, animals and brand new theming. The area will consist of formerly known Toadie Cars which is now known as Rainforest Rangers, NEW mini log flume River Rafters and a re-theme to the existing Treetop Hoppers. The zoo will be re-locating their Capybaras and Giant Tortoises too. Alongside this area the former Flying Jumbos will be receiving a re-theme to Elmers Flying Jumbos.
For now, that’s all we know is coming to the UK theme parks for 2020. If you know of anything else feel free to let us know.
