One of the theme parks we love are celebrating been open for 40 years! We’ve decided to put together reasons why we love the park. We hope you all enjoy and we’d love to know why you love Thorpe Park.
1) Atmosphere;
One of the main reasons why we love Thorpe Park is the atmosphere. Every time we visit we always get a holiday feeling. Especially when leaving that sad feeling like when your leaving a holiday. The park is so upbeat and bright it really adds to the light feeling. What’s better then turning into the car park with the pure beauty of a skyline ahead of you. We always have such happy and memorable times at Thorpe Park.
2) Very Special to us:
It’s a park we’ve always wanted to visit prior to 2016 as it had countless rides we wanted to experience. We followed majority of the new rides after Saw:The Ride. When we finally got to visit in the summer of 2016 it might of been extremely busy but we fell in love with the place. Now every year we visit for our anniversary whether it’s the actual day or around the time. We’ve done the exact same this year and we’ll continue to do so for as long as possible.
3) Events / Opening Hours:
Decent opening hours are pretty hard to come by across the UK theme parks other than Blackpool Pleasure Beach. Yet Thorpe Park has some of the best within the summer months and weekends. We loved the Love Island Lates last year and embraced those night rides. They hold some incredible events and one of our ultimate favourites has to be Fright Nights. It’s truthfully our favourite Halloween event we’ve done so far.
4) Some Of The Best & Unique Rides:
In our opinion Thorpe Park is home to some of the best UK rides. The likes of Stealth & The Swarm spring to mind. They are both incredible quality, thrilling and unique to the UK. There’s no other winged coaster or top hat launch coaster in the UK. Derren Browns Ghost Train is one of the unique attractions whether you love it or hate it.
5) Flat Ride Heaven;
If you’ve visited a few UK theme parks you’ll notice there’s a lack of flats. Thorpe Park however has a decent number of quality flat rides. One of our all time favourites has to be Rush. It’s one of the best in the UK for sure perhaps a little too short for our preference. There’s enough flats for both thrillseekers and family audience that we can’t get enough.
Basically Thorpe Park is a truly loveable and incredible theme park. Without a doubt there’s of course room for improvement but majority of parks are the same. So happy 40th birthday Thorpe Park if your reading this (probably not) we love you!
