We haven’t done many coasters outside the UK only ones at PortAventura World. So there’s no doubt many more which will surprise us in the future, so we’ll update this as of and when we can. But for now we’ll be talking about the coasters which have surprised us. We hope you guys enjoy this blog.
1) Red Force at PortAventura World:
Honestly looking and listening to Red Force it sounded like a beast but we didn’t expect it ride like it did. Towards the end of the launch is crazy intense and it’s something which didn’t expect at all. The amount of airtime at the top of the top hat is immense. Basically the entire coaster took us by surprise given the sheer speed, airtime and force. It’s easily within our top 5 coasters overall it’s so fab.
2) Oblivion at Alton Towers:
Let’s not lie we’ve all crapped ourselves during our first ride on Oblivion. It still packs a punch even to this day and gives us a thrill with many butterflies. Given how simple the coaster is you’d never expect it to be half as thrilling.
3) The Wickerman at Alton Towers:
We completely underestimated this coaster and had real low expectations before riding it for the first time. Off ride it didn’t fill us with hope it would be anymore then the average wooden coaster. However after our first ride we were left speechless and that’s something that’s never happened before. It was everything we never expected basically. The amount of airtime and the way it holds its speed is perfect. It’s my personal favourite coaster I’ve ever ridden.
4) Dragon Khan at PortAventura World:
I think this has made the list simply due to the fact we had expected roughness at the level of Infusion on a bad day. However during our visit it was running real smooth and wasn’t even half as bad as we expected. In fact we adore Dragon Khan and would love to see something similar in the UK from B&M.
5) Revolution at Blackpool Pleasure Beach:
Right off ride it looks simple and tame but on ride it’s insane the amount of times it’s brought me close to blacking out is crazy. You’d never really think it’d be that intense or is that just us? It’s so fab though we love Revvy!!
6) Rhino Coaster:
It’s our favourite coaster at West Midlands Safari Park it’s so fab and really enjoyable. A simple family coaster which is smooth and really fun to ride.
7) Dragons Fury:
Dragons Fury is easily our favourite spinning coaster we’ve ever rode. We love to sit backwards up the lift as it just adds to the drop even more. It’s so much fun and there’s random pops of airtime as well.
