Wanting to stay at Alton Towers Resort with little to no idea which of the lodge-like accommodation to decide from. Again, let me help you out! So, we’ve stayed in both and the in-depth reviews are available at the end of this blog post. But let’s find you the best choice for your visit.
Similarities:
They are both on-site accommodation at Alton Towers and themed & based around been lodged in some form. Both accommodations bookings include breakfast & free 9-hole golf. You can access any of the other hotels during your stay for evening entertainment, meals and bars except for CBeebies Hotel. You can enter the theme park via the Galactic Gate saves time catching the monorail or walking to the entrance. Both accommodate a family of 4. The car parks are in the same location as each other. Both have outdoor seating spaces.
Differences:
The major difference between the two is the shower & toilet facilities. Stargazing Pods have communal showers & toilets whereas inside your Enchanted Lodge are your own private ones with baths. Of course, the convenience of Enchanted Village is much higher as there’s a lot more space to move around and unwind inside. Enhanced Village does have an on-site restaurant too.
Value For Money:
If you’re looking for an inexpensive night stay and not all that fussed about what’s included in your room then the Stargazing Pods are tremendous. However, for a more personal and relaxed night stay then we’d suggest Enchanted Village. Sometimes the difference in prices between the two aren’t that much different. So, comparisons are 100% needed for the time of your visit to assure you get the best deal. Always take into account the difference in breakfast offerings too.
Food Options:
With regards to breakfast if you’re staying in the Stargazing Pods you have a restricted choice of what you can get from the check-in hub. Meanwhile, Enchanted Village delivers an unlimited breakfast. Whereas, evening meals are the same. You can access any hotel restaurants or Rollercoaster Restaurants. Both offer room service too.
Pricing:
It depends on when you’re looking to stay. As you can get the Stargazing Pods for as reasonable as £88 but also could get the Enchanted Village for £100. Sometimes the contrast in prices can be extremely similar and it’ll merit one over the other easily. Always check both for your dates to make sure you get the best deal you can.
Overall:
Both accommodations I quite enjoy, I appreciate the adventures camping-like feel you get with the Stargazing Pods because the beds are somewhat as comfortable. But I also love that cosy feeling & privacy from Enchanted Village. Both are worth checking out to figure out your own preference for sure. But if one’s significantly cheaper than the other then it’s common sense to go with the most affordable to have the privilege of staying on-site.
