Ah yes, something I haven’t done for a while is a ranking of a precise manufacturer’s rollercoasters within the UK. So, I guess here it is although no one actually asked for it.
Flying Fish – Thorpe Park:
The Fish. The cutest little rollercoaster which means you sit inside a fish whilst riding, is iconic. It’s not intended for our age group yet it’s still fun so that counts for something. The staff are usually what truly make this ride with their weird & wonderful ways. Fish you may be at the bottom of this list but you are fab.
Runaway Mine Train – Alton Towers:
Choo choo. A true Alton Towers classic. It feels it too. I really enjoy riding Mine Train I find it to be a lot of joy. There’s always a laugh to be had when riding and that sometimes is all you need something uplifting and cheerful for the whole family.
Scorpion Express – Chessington World of Adventures:
I believe this is the same layout as Flying Fish. Could be wrong I’m not here to state facts. Scorpion Express is stunning. It’s those extra effects & theming which make it the best out of the three Mack powered.
Avalanche – Blackpool Pleasure Beach:
Avalanche is unique for the UK and is a genuinely delightful experience. I often find it a lot unnerving it’s the sleigh instead of the track which makes me apprehensive. Of course, I’m aware it’s safe but I guess it just feels unnatural. Either way, it’s fun but could do with better throughputs for sure.
Icon – Blackpool Pleasure Beach:
It’s a funny old the relationship I have with this coaster. It’s got some gorgeous airtime moments which is purely the main draw to the coaster. Off-ride it looks sensational. The double launch is fun yet it does lack force but that’s okay. For me, I don’t particularly rank it that strongest across all UK rollercoasters simply due to feeling ill after riding. This has become a more recent issue but it makes me feel gross.
Storm Chaser – Paultons Park:
What a beaut. Spinning rollercoasters need to be more of this style IMO. The theming around is phenomenal. It’s so smooth and surprisingly forceful too. I truly do adore Storm Chaser.
