Yeah, Sub Terra hasn’t actually been confirmed to open at all YET. Although it is VERY transparent it’s going to be the case given during our previous visit we noticed disabled access signage up on the building and the fact it’s had no ends of work happening to it as well. But when? Let’s have a little speculation on the odds of Is it actually, opening & when?

From what we have gathered so far there’s a viewing platform opening up to guests this week to be precise on the 27th of April. This will overlook the Nemesis construction site. This does connect up to Sub Terra as the entrance will be next to each & the platform is running alongside the queue line.

Back over to Sub Terra, it seems there’s still a lot of activity of staff training (rumoured), ride testing and the ordinary things you require to open a ride like signage etc being worked on. However, I doubt this is far off from been ready. My theory is once the track arrives on-site the Phalanx (themed people to Nemesis) will then make another announcement of the subject being tested. This will then lead to an opening date for Sub Terra which I suspect will be late May / Early June (I am aware the 9th of May has been mentioned). However, I’m also in the mindset we won’t actually get an announcement for the date of this opening. But it will all unexpectedly be open to the public. I’m not sure that’s quite something that Alton Towers would do but never say never.

With both of my speculation ideas in mind. I can’t see the likelihood of it becoming a scare maze as I know that’s one theory out there. With the quantity of work that’s been happening to this attraction, I highly doubt that’s the case or it will be having an opening day that late into the season. As for it returning back in its retired condition & configuration I do think that will be relatively the case. Although I can see them growing the story a little further to enhance the understanding of why Nemesis isn’t open this season. Either way, another dark ride & more significantly an SBNO attraction to bless the lineup is truly stunning to see.

I guess from here it’s simply a waiting game for an announcement and long live the endless speculation.

Thank you so much for reading & I’ll be back once there’s further news on Sub Terra…
