It’s something which we all have had our suspicions about & it seems to be confirmed by the park in Duel itself that we’ll see this attraction close its doors on the 6th of September! But what is about to happen? Could this be Alton Towers messing with us?
Duel has been looking relatively fatigued in more recent years and has been longing for some kind of overhaul whether that is a complete re-theme or refurbishment. So, it appears this is about to happen in the coming weeks. Although we all adore this attraction so dearly we all accept the fact it needs some TLC and I think now is a brilliant time for it to happen.
The photo that has been circulating on social media has the quote “this is my house” which any Alton Towers fan will be aware of comes from Emily the ghost in the doll’s house. Could we be seen Emily entirely take over this attraction? After all, a doll-themed haunted house could be one of the most unnerving thoughts I have ever had!
To me, I feel as if the former theme “Haunted House” is about to return without the shooting feature or at least something very similar. I struggle to see this ride having any other theme than something spooky. I’m optimistic we’ll see a refurbishment similar to the likes of Tomb Blaster down south if not bigger & better. Either way, what happens as long as the ride itself remains it will be perfect no doubt. It’s needed love for so long that the future can only be an improvement on the current ride as we know it.
