This has been THE coaster we have been hyped for, for years! Of course, with one thing and another, it took a while for it to open but we’re so grateful to be a part of the launch. A massive thank you to the team at Flamingo Land for inviting us to be a part of this special day! Here are our opinions on this brand new UK coaster!
All views & opinions shared are our own & by no means influenced by the invite.
Surrounding Area:
This coaster looks visually gorgeous. I love the colour scheme a lot. The area was injected with mist from the coaster which looks lush, at times it was tough to see through it. There are lovely pops of planting around as well. Also a small lake with a fountain towards the back end of the coaster which adds to the off-ride charm. There is nothing off-ride which I would say doesn’t look good at all. I guess in one sense it does look similar to Icon off-ride given the colour scheme but also very different too. But they both share that sense of styling rather than theming.
Queue Line:
You enter the queue via the shop which is something a little unusual. With a lot of queue lines, it offers such unique angles to view the coaster which is always a win in my opinion. It doesn’t exactly need theming added to the queue due to those views.
Station & Throughputs:
The station in my opinion is a vibe. It is simple but during our experience at least it was truly so feel-good. The music, bright flags, printed walls & general lighting just built this joyful vibe. It’s probably one of the most feel-good stations on a coaster I have experienced in all honesty & you need to be amongst the atmosphere to appreciate it.
Throughputs seemed to pick up as the day went along which is to be anticipate with a new coaster. It does run one train which is never going to give the maximum throughput. I believe they only have the one carriage which is something which I’d like to think could be altered.
Restraints & Carriages:
This was one of the factors which before riding I was concerned about. We both don’t get on with the carriages on Colossus therefore it was a concern. However, front of the individual carriages is the best place to be for long legged people like Ant. The restraints remind us somewhat of the Red Force style perhaps a model or two below them. But we both found this side of the experience relatively comfortable and more to the point it didn’t set us off on a bad foot neither as we weren’t squished in nor were we uncomfortable? I did hear a lot comment on how they felt the restraints were restrictive however as we sat on the front of each individual carriage we were fine. I can imagine the back of the carts can be a little crammed.
The Layout:
Let’s start with talking about how speedy that lift is because boy that does not mess about! You are peeking over the top into the drop before you know it. I quite prefer this as it gave me less time to think about the height of it haha.
Racing down the first drop which was fab into the loop. It was smooth just where we sat first time was vibrating a little but by any means it weren’t uncomfortable at all. Into the airtime hill which was glorious into the cobra roll also great! Into the double barrel roll into the rolls. Those rolls did not come to play you barely touch your seat when rolling around them.
The layout was brilliant. It all felt so fast, smooth and most of all so much fun. I almost had low expectations for this coaster as I just weren’t sure I was going to enjoy it to be entirely honest. But heading into the brakes first time round I just could not stop smiling & chuckling at how insanely fierce, fun & crazy it all felt. Honestly, this coaster did not come to play it came to become one of the UKs best thrill coaster.
Exit / Shop:
You exit the station into the photo booth into the shop. Upon exiting you can then go onto buy your merchandise!
Overall:
This coaster is one of my personal favourites in the UK although the name is about the only thing I don’t particularly like. It offers such a broad variety of elements into one coaster there’s airtime, intensity, hang time & the list could go on. In all honesty it has to be one of the best new coasters I have experienced in such a long while. To me it has that potential to be my number one but for certain it’s in my top 3. I mean after all what other coaster in the UK has a barber shop in the queue line!

Honestly, you have to experience it for yourself to understand how truly fab it is. Head to Flamingo Land this summer I promise you won’t be disappointed!
