My Top 5 Worst Rollercoasters & Why… – December 2020

So I’ve actually dated this post in the title as I know for a fact within the next year, I can come back & readdress this list. But for now here are 5 rollercoasters which I don’t particularly enjoy to say the least.

Also I’m excluding any of the big apples & wacky worms I’ve experienced as it’ll be a full list of them, as let’s face it they aren’t anybody’s favourites. This is purely bigger rollercoasters which aren’t for me.

5 – Megafobia – Oakwood:

It actually still pains me to even include this anywhere near this list. But honestly, it was awful. I have heard it’s had a bad season during 2020 which fills me with hope it’ll be better next time we visit. But going by the two rides we had back in August. I’ve never experienced anything quite that painful in my life, that’s not dramatising the situation neither. I was heartbroken by how little I enjoyed it and tad bruised for a little while. I can handle my woodies rough, but that was something else. Full blog post HERE.

4 – Shambhala – PortAventura:

I’ll be honest, I feel I brought a lot of this on myself with Shambhala. I got sucked into all the hype surrounding it and got myself far to excited before riding, which meant one or two things I would either love it or hate it. Turns out I was highly disappointed. It just did not do anything for me. It felt like a monorail with more elements to it. I tried it 3 times and each time I hit the brake run gutted with disappointment. I’m hoping it’s due to me having chunky thighs to why I didn’t experience the insane airtime everyone raves about. I’ll always be open to giving it another shot & just pray it’s somewhat better. I’m sorry if this upsets anyone, but over here I gotta keep things real.

3 – Rattlesnake – CWOA:

I know and I really do understand some people will enjoy this rollercoaster for all it’s bumps & bruises it leaves. However this entire layout is one of them which really don’t do it for me. I just find the experience too uncomfortable to actually enjoy & trust me I’ve tried so much to enjoy it. But I simply can’t & will not touch the thing again.

2 –  Treetoppers – Oakwood:

This is not me salty to the fact I lost my favourite pair of sunglasses under the station. But my goodness those brakes were horrific. It was literally as if we just crashed into a brick wall. Nasty little bugger really. I don’t think it helped to the fact the restraints flung down even tighter mid ride as it felt as if they impaled my stomach on those brakes, vile.

1 – Twister – West Midlands Safari:

I feel as if it’s not called this anymore? But basically the spinning rollercoaster at West Mids. It is just VILE. Majority of these coasters have factors as to why they could be sat here & this one is the weather, it was torrential rain. I’m unsure as to how much of an impact that actually had to the ride experience. But that was one of the worst rides of my life. I genuinely couldn’t stop praying it would end quicker than it did. Every corner was terrifying, every aspect of it was brutal. It’s put me well of these coaster types now, if I’m honest.
