It’s easy to put together a list of the downfalls and the things which are annoying. However we are yet to put together a blog all about why we love theme parks. So today’s blog is all about just that and an insight to why this is our hobby. We hope you enjoy, feel free to let us know your reasons below or across our socials.
Escaping Reality :
Honestly there’s just a sense of relief when heading through any theme park gates. All of our worries, problems or whatever is going on in our life’s stay behind the gates. Those who saw the Alton Towers Fireworks 2017 will know how accurate it was and no doubt probably relate too. Every time we’re at a theme park there’s a real sense of pure happiness and anything crappy doesn’t pass our minds once.
Decent Food:
Before we got into theme parks fully we never really went to any restaurants or quality food places. However that soon change once this hobby began we now go out of our way to make time to have a proper meal in the onsite restaurants. But even when we don’t we try to eat proper foods like Alton Towers hot wraps etc. We used to live of McDonald’s and KFC etc.
Somethings Always Changing:
Let’s not lie even if it’s nothing major there’s always small changes. There’s something really exciting about the future and changes which happen or are going to happen. It’s something we always talk about amongst ourselves and discuss what we think should happen here there and everywhere. Even those tiny changes like little paint jobs here and there it’s something fresh and different.
Experiencing different emotions:
There’s something real exciting about experiencing various emotions like fear, happiness, laughter etc within one day. It really gives us a natural high and makes us so happy. For example The Big One’s height gives us the sense of fear yet it’s so fun to feel like that. Probably strange to a few but I know what I mean.
Creating Memories:
Every visit every breakdown every new ride it’s creating a new memory. Memories last forever and that’s something real special for us. I tend to keep on top of the Digipass and printing ride photos so we can look back and embrace it & old rides etc. It’s the same for when Wickerman & Icon was been constructed I’ve got two photo albums full of start of construction season until openings.
Perfect Chance Of Socialising:
Since we’ve been enthusiasts we’ve made so many lovely friends and met so many amazing people. We didn’t think this hobby would lead to us getting to know or coming across so many awesome content creators. It was a community we didn’t know existed and felt as if we were alone at first. Yet a good year into going out there and constantly visiting theme parks. We began to notice same faces out and about then came across loads of YouTube channels & theme park related pages! Now we’ve became friends with some of the loveliest people we’ve ever met!
Great Presents For Family & Friends:
If your anything like us and have season passes often one of the perks is discounted tickets for family & friends. Since holding a few passes we’ve found it the perfect option to use when needing to buy for somebody. We always tend to pay for whoever to get into a theme park. Then once we figure their favourite ride or attraction it makes it easier for future gifts.
Unique Hobby;
In your everyday life how often do you come across somebody who’s also a theme park enthusiasts. For us it’s really rare and perhaps sometimes we do get odd looks or remarks for it. Yet it’s something we are passionate about and it helps us in so many ways. Who’s it harming? We ride coasters and visit theme parks for a hobby in our opinion it’s a better amazing hobby to have!
