If you’ve been following this series of blogs you’ll know I’ve shared a rollercoaster, dark ride & flat ride version! I’ll pop a link to all of them HERE. But today is all about water rides yet again something we don’t have much of in the The UK! Nonetheless here’s our 7 must dos!
Battle of the Galleons:
A splash battle is always fun! But this is one of the soakers. It is one of two outdoor water rides at Alton Towers and definitely the wettest. If your visiting on a hot day this is the ride for you!
Pirate Falls:
A classic log flumes with pretty decent theming & simply one drop. But that one drop is enough. It’s filled with different effects around the final drop too. It’s a real fun edition to the few outdoor water rides we have!
Stormforce 10:
You legit plunge into the lake. But that’s all part of the fun. 3 drops all told with the backwards one been the most brutal. After a whole year of been closed some of the more classic effects now work! Such as the tilt before the first drop. Not to forget how speedy the turnaround table is for the backwards drop now. Plus the extra theming about saving our ocean is enough to get mentioned in this blog!

Rumba Rapids:
Definitely the strongest of the rapids that now operate. Last season it was a lot of fun to experience. Filled with pops of getting soaked and all way round just a lot more enjoyable.
Tiger Rock:
Probably one of the most re-rideable flumes there is. We tend to stay on this and get plenty of re-rides throughout the quiet days. It’s fun and a nice way to relax. By all means it’s not a soaker like the others mentioned in this list but you don’t always want to get drowned right?
Tidal Wave:
Absolute soaker. One drop but it’s legit the wettest ride we’ve ever done. Just the way the water sprinkles over you to then boom your drowned in matter of seconds. It is perfect for the summer months for sure.
Rugrats Lost River:
Deceiving it’s the one word that springs to mind when I think of this! Tiny little family log flume you’d expect a sprinkling right? Well no you’ll get drenched. But that’s pretty fun too. It’s short and quite literally sweet but prepare yourself for getting soaked.
What are the must do outdoor water rides in the UK?
