I could sit here for hours expressing my utter love for this ride at Disneyland Paris. So I will definitely try & keep this a shortened version of the blog post it could well be. I’m sorry in advance if I rabble on but I hope you guys enjoy…
So many of you who follow our blog post or know me will know I became an enthusiast through Pirates Adventure at Drayton Manor. If your reading this & not from the UK I’m not sure you’ll know what I mean. But it was basically a budget and own themed version of this ride. So that sets the tone quite beautifully into why I am writing this blog post right?
Right anyway when I first rode this ride last November it became very apparent I had fallen in love. I came off wanting to go straight back round and experience it again. Something which blew me away was the insanely eerie life-like animatronics. They blew my mind & really took me by surprise. Their movements were so gracefully in the same motion as a human would move. As for appearance they visually looked perfect. There wasn’t one which looked aged or tired which is refreshing given our UK animatronics. Not to forget their faces again looked incredibly life-like as did their mouth movements.
Some of the set pieces were insanely gorgeous and usage of screens amongst physical props combined beautifully. A scene which always springs to mind is the fire section. The way you see the buildings burning and instantly there’s a drop as you go through them. Incredibly done and again I was mind blown. Quickly I might as well add I’ve never seen the films yet I knew pretty well what was happening.
Let me begin to wrap this up before I rabble too much. The entire boat ride really took me by surprise by how beautifully produced it is. The language translations are extremely helpful & done incredibly well. Every scene added something incredible to the experience and told the story beautifully. My favourite animatronic is Jack at the end of the ride. The movement is uncanny and something which I quite adore.
Basically, I love this ride so dearly and can’t wait to return to ride it even more…
Thank you for you & if you’ve read this far thank you!
