Sunday we headed to Alton Towers to experience the final day of the season alongside firework display. We hope you enjoy this blog and keep an eye out for more content from our Disneyland Paris trip.

Something which we’ve enjoyed more this season in compared to others is the normal music across the lawns a little bit ahead of the display. As always Alton Towers atmosphere is genuinely incredible on the average day and extra special during the final day of the year. Admittedly it was rammed throughout the entire day but we managed to explore the smaller things which we wouldn’t necessarily do that had lower queues.

This years theme was pretty fab actually. The story behind the fireworks was of course Power of the Towers and in a sense celebration of the rides and what makes Alton Towers, Alton Towers. The way they used the Towers as part of their show was a real nice touch. But as for theming we adored the whole aspect and storyline. It was nice to have live actors and the story to be so clear, unlike last years.

Genuinely we were blew away by the insane amount of fireworks, lighting and overall greatness there was. This years display was definitely the biggest that we’ve ever watched and the best Alton Towers has ever done. There was some points mid way through were the quality of fireworks made it look as if it was the finale yet it wasn’t. As for the length it was definitely the perfect duration it wasn’t too short or long. The story didn’t seem to get stale neither and it was very fun as well. The finale was breath taking the entire sky in front of us was lit up. Each section of the fireworks was mind-blowing we genuinely adored this year’s fireworks so much.

The event was handled really well in regards to crowd control given the limit space for getting everyone out and away from the lawns. However it was handled really well and overall the display was beautiful. We are very excited to see what the 2020 firework display will be like given its their 40th birthday. It’s going to take a lot to beat this year’s display but we’re excited to see what they have planned.
Thank you so much for reading…
