It’s national rollercoaster day so what makes more sense than sharing our top 5 coasters & having a chat about them. As always we’d love to know yours below in the comments or across our socials.
Red Force:
We adore Red Force even though it’s short and simple. The pure speed and height really adds to it sitting so high up in our list. One major factor of this coaster which we adore has to be the lap bars.
Icon:
Easily the best UK coaster for so many aspects. The double launch, Inversions and lap bars are all reasons why we rate it so highly. Admittedly it isn’t the fastest of coasters but truthfully the layout compliments it so much. For me personally I quite like the speed it goes at and wouldn’t really want to change that neither. It enhances some elements like the hang time of both inversions.
Wickerman:
The only coaster which has ever left us speechless after our first ride. What you watch off ride doesn’t compare to anything like it is on ride. It’s so much faster then it looks, it offers countless pops of airtime and intense moments. The theming is stunning probably the best-themed coaster in the UK.
The Swarm:
I find this coaster a little too short to rank any higher else it would easily be my number one. But it’s like a dream it rides so beautifully and smooth. It has countless moments of intensity. The theming within the surrounding area is gorgeous as well. I personally adore Swarm but would rank so much higher if it was that little longer.
Nemesis:
It’s an absolute beast there’s no denying that. If I was to rank Alton Towers coasters it would be so much higher up in the list. But for me personally I just prefer other coasters but this is my ultimate guilty pleasure. I love every aspect of Nemesis especially the downwards helix. To be honest I ain’t sure how anyone could not love it.
