Probably one of the most random blog ideas I’ve thought of so far. But there’s a few things I can list that nobody mentions in regards to theme parks. So let’s have a chat and discuss those things. I hope you all enjoy and I’d love to know your verdict on this too.
Amount Of Walking:
This is very much regarding Alton Towers like nobody talks about the sheer amount of walking there is. There are hills here, there and everywhere and they really do take it out of you. Something which nobody pre warns you about is just that.
Uncomfortable / Tight Restraints:
Who knew there are weight restrictions when it comes down to restraints? Maybe that’s me been a little naive but I had no idea this was a first prior to becoming an enthusiast (I know how dumb was I?). But other than that side of things some actual restraints are just awful in regards to comfort. One which comes to mind are Infusions restraints like if they weren’t so big and bulky that coaster could easily be a complete different experience. However Flight of The Pterosaurs restraints are a dream.
Unbearable Audio In Long Ass Queues:
Right can we all speak about those audios which are hard to bear for long periods of time. If you stand in The Smiler queue longer than an hour how much does it go through you, or is that just us? I’m the first person to say I love that audio however when you hear it non stop for 2 and half hours like my first ever ride on it, yeah it’s not cool.
Evacuations:
First of all no one tells you how fun they are. Like we had our first big evacuation one Halloween of the Gruffalo and honestly it made our day, it was hilarious. Admittedly everyone else around us didn’t find it all that funny. I guess that’s the difference between an enthusiast and living for these nerdy moments to the general guest who just want to get the most out of their day tickets. Understandable really. Whereas we love a cheeky evacuation & spot some of those little behind the scenes sneak peeks. 
Rough Rides:
Perhaps this is just me but before coming into the theme park community elsewhere you would be non the wiser of those rougher rides. Like you’d expect them all to be smooth and nothing on the realistic level of pain they could cause. But once your in this community’s very much more a thing to talk about.
Infestation of Wasps
Seriously, have you visited a theme park in the peak of summer & not been attacked by a wasp? I’m sure they are just swarmed by them. I guess it comes down to all those confectionary bits we eat & fizzy drinks whilst visiting. Either that or there’s a whole wasp theme park community too. If so, wonder their favourite theme park is? Haha.
