Oh, it’s been a long while since I put together a theme park blog and I’m delighted to be back! So, The Big One is no longer the Biggest one in the UK… 30 whole years is VERY impressive to keep that record though! So, here are 5 reasons why I’m hyped to experience Hyperia.
The First Drop:
I haven’t ever seen a drop on a rollercoaster quite like it. Of course, we aren’t particularly well blessed with extremely thrilling first drops here in the UK and nor have we experienced all that many coasters outside the UK either. I’m so intrigued by what it’ll feel like on the ride & I hope it lives up to the expectations I hold for it.
UK’s Fastest & Tallest:
Oh hello, two big records to retain. I don’t think there’s much to say on that front really.
The Lapbar:
All the new records it’s taken with a lap bar… absolute joy! If the carriages are like the OG Icon ones then what a treat.
Outer Bank Turn:
It’s a component I don’t think I’ve ever encountered on a rollercoaster. The fact it whips you to the side so high up almost looks terrifying. No doubt that’s going to be a grip-on-for-dear-life kind of moment.
The Stall;
Call me captivated I quite enjoy stalls anyway but this being so lengthy has got me giddy. I can only start to speculate the sensation that it provides and it gets me replenished with excitement just thinking of it.

But now I need to see if all this hype I feel will be fulfilled by the beast herself. Hopefully won’t be too long until we get down to Thorpe Park to have a ride for ourselves. I shall report back with whether it’s worth the hype or not in a few months or maybe even weeks….
Have you ridden it yet? Is it as good as everyone claims?
