Valhalla at Blackpool Pleasure Beach is Set To Open This April

3 years on and here we are today to discuss the technical launch of the ride. This is so exciting. Valhalla to me has always been the ride I get considerably excited to ride whilst visiting Blackpool Pleasure Beach & the fact it’s been re-imagined and set to launch is making me so hyped.

So, what do we know?

From April 7th the ride will start to open here & there under technical launch. This is fundamentally where you can ride but it won’t be the finished product. You can expect things to be altered prior to the official launch. It’s a really useful way to get guest feedback and make changes prior to officially having the ride finished and open. Anyone can experience but there’ll be no set schedule for its opening if it follows other launches like this.

We have learnt and heard a small snippet of the brand-new audio for the ride. In my opinion, at the moment I’m not the greatest of fans but nor do I despise it. After all, we’ve heard what is perhaps 10-30 seconds worth. I know there’s a lot more to be heard. For me, Valhalla was always the retired soundtrack that summed up the ride for me. But of course, times change & move forward so I’m intrigued to hear the whole music and no doubt it’ll grow on me over time. Who knows we may even hear a streak from the iconic soundtrack.

From the outdoor photos that have been shared across social media, it’s very apparent there have been some significant changes already. The boats are black unsure as to whether these are brand new boats or the previous ones were just overhauled. Either way, they are truly stunning. I prefer them to the previous look and feel that already sets a precedent for what can be anticipated throughout. The station has also had a revamp and again is a tremendous improvement to the former look. Something I really love the look of is the Valhalla sign I can’t wait to grab a cheeky photo for the gram outside there. Valhalla has also been graced with an actual plaza now. There are planters and the prior statues etc creating a plaza for the ride. For me, that makes the ride look like the big deal it is. It always deserved to look more appealing than it did outside the entrance. I feel Pleasure Beach already have produced a beautiful and modern touch. Without visiting it seems to pursue along the lines of the modernness that Icon does. It’s really fresh.

The things I hope will happen throughout the ride itself are the quality that’s been seen on the exterior and follows through the inside. Effects previously were always unpredictable which I feel will be fixed but I’m hoping they have a good long expectancy. I’m enthusiastic to see the new scenes which I assume have happened and hopefully some of the previous iconic bringing the refurbishment they needed. One of the key things I hope we can expect to see is a baggage hold because it’s very evident it’ll still be a wet ride therefore taking bags on and valuables just doesn’t feel like an option. If no baggage hut possibly somewhere onboard that is a dry space for them to rest.
