It was a rumble amongst the enthusiast world that the brand new area previously known under the name of Project Amazon was going to be themed around Jumanji & it’s finally confirmed! But what is this about?
Throughout the season there have been construction walls and work commencing opposite Dragons Fury on the green that used to be used to host things such as the beach. There was a considerable structure getting built last time we visited which is what is seen in the recent concept art just released. This area will see a brand new rollercoaster open which I believe has been verified to be B&M the same manufacturers who made the likes of The Swarm, Oblivion & Nemesis just to name a few. It’s set to be a launched wing shuttle coaster with an inversion if the original concept art is much to go by. This then signifies it will be the first rollercoaster to invert at the park.
Alongside the main attraction which will of course be the rollercoaster, there’ll be supporting rides like flat rides. These rides seem to be more or less aimed at families with younger children from the consultation notes shared by others. As for what these rides will be I’m not entirely sure yet.
So, there you have it a quick rundown of what we can expect from 2023 at Chessington World of Adventures. I am exceptionally excited to see the park acquire the long-awaited major development & the theme I have no doubt will be done to an incredible standard when looking at areas such as Land of the Tigers in recent years. The park has needed this major investment for a while and I’m sure it’ll be a brilliant addition to the UK theme park industry!
