So, let\u2019s have a chat about the park, operations, food and all things relating to this park. <\/span><\/p>\n<h3 class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Free Entry \/ Wristband:<\/span><\/h3>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Adventure Island is located on the Seafront of Southend on Sea. It\u2019s your usual style of amusement park in regards to entry. There is the option to book online to save on wristband prices or you can pay on the day. We booked online &amp; paid \u00a322.50 whereas on the day it\u2019s only \u00a325. You can pay per ride also. The park opens at 11am &amp; weekends closes between 8:30-10:30pm. The arcade is a spend card only which you get from the desk.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3 class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Parking:<\/span><\/h3>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">There is no on-site park for Adventure Island however there is a lot of parking nearby. Admittedly, I think we had stumbled across the most expensive car park possible. But there\u2019s plenty of options available. The staff were fab at getting out trains &amp; getting the rides going. On the staff front what a great bunch of upbeat people. Genuinely, they were all exceptionally polite and friendly. They knew how to get the guests excited for each ride. Some of them are unusual whereas others are the more traditional style. There\u2019s a total of 5 coasters to get as well. All of the coasters were fun the central thrill was of course Rage. Which Rage deserves a whole blog post to itself. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">There\u2019s a couple of dark rides including a ghost train. Again both of them were cute. Of course, the park was made up with 70% flat rides. You could take a 5 year old and do almost the entire park together. But you could also be a couple like ourselves and visit then have a fab time too. <\/span><\/p>\n<h3 class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Food Outlets:<\/span><\/h3>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">We ate at the Dinosaur Restaurant which was beautifully themed. There was a lot more rides than I thought and in all honesty the wristband prices are fair which is refreshing to see. Sections of the park had some decent theming and it was so well kept as well. As I mentioned earlier in this post the staff were outstanding &amp; welcoming to everyone which is something in itself that can make a difference in your day. It\u2019s well worth a visit even if you are down South for the Merlin parks add this to your list because you won\u2019t regret it. The fact it is on the seafront means you can finish up your day then take a long walk down the pier or sit on the wall by the beach.
