The 2022 Theme park season is quickly approaching and without a doubt, lots of us are planning on visiting somewhere fresh, am I right? So, I presume I\u2019m right and that\u2019s why you are reading this blog post. Here are some of the things I\u2019ve discovered over the years on what to do & not to do before new theme park adventures. By all means, I don\u2019t expect these will help everyone as there are far more well-travelled individuals out there than me. But if I can help in any feasible way that\u2019s a win. <\/span><\/p>\n

To-Do:<\/span><\/h2>\n

Research – Opening Hours & Ticket Prices<\/span><\/h2>\n

These are the core basic things needing to be done when planning a trip. Opening hours are very valuable to weigh up if you\u2019ll manage all you want to do in one trip but to also see if it\u2019s worthwhile. Ticket prices are essential to know if it\u2019ll be cheaper to book online (often the case).\"\" <\/span><\/p>\n

Not To Do : <\/span><\/h2>\n

Intense Research Into Rides & Attractions:<\/span><\/h2>\n

I\u2019m still guilty of doing this but I know my brain will never persist half the details by the time the trip comes around. However, I don\u2019t recommend doing too much intense research into rides & attractions. Live in the moment and take them all as it comes. You may be pleasantly surprised.\"\"<\/span><\/p>\n

To Do:
\nCheck the Food Outlets & Transportation:<\/span><\/h2>\n

If I\u2019m honest as I\u2019m a very \u201cfussy\u201d eater I have to always make sure there\u2019ll be at least one food outlet on the day I would eat from. If there\u2019s not I know to prepare my lunch beforehand. It\u2019s something which is a must for me. Transportation is essential especially abroad. It\u2019s something I\u2019ve learnt to do deep research into after PortAventura. I\u2019ll post the blog post HERE<\/strong><\/a> regarding that story. But I\u2019d highly recommend weighing up your possibilities regarding transportation to make sure you are at your happiest with the final decision.\"\"<\/span><\/p>\n

Not To Do:<\/span><\/h2>\n

Rely On Others Opinions:<\/span><\/h2>\n

Honestly, it is the worst thing to do. I, unfortunately, fell into the habit of doing this with the PortAventura trip we did. I fell in love with Shambhala before riding simply through hearing other people\u2019s opinions. Yet I was HIGHLY disheartened afterwards which then nearly tarnished the entire trip. Please do new rides with an open mind else it may lead to complete disappointment.\"\"<\/span><\/p>\n

To Do: <\/span><\/h2>\n

Book At Least Two Days:<\/span><\/h2>\n

Something I find is I need at least two days at most new parks. One day to live in the moment then another to seize the moment. As I love photography and capturing new parks through the lens I sometimes tend to neglect enjoying the day through my own eyes. Admittedly I love having so many photos to remember the trip by. But I also love to live in the moment. It\u2019s very troublesome to do both sometimes. Unless you\u2019ve of course achieved that fine art which I\u2019ll cheerfully take some tips about this from anyone who has any!\"\" <\/span><\/p>\n
