As we approach the thick of Summer the weather is getting more & more wonderful & sunny day by day. The temperatures are intensifying. Theme park trips are even more desirable to so many. But how do you go about surviving the whole day? Here are some of the tips I\u2019ve picked up along the way of my many years of theme park trips during the baking hot summer days!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Water Bottle & Free Refills:<\/h2>\n

When you are out in the sunshine the last thing you need is to not drink enough water as it\u2019ll make you so poorly. Therefore, pack an empty water bottle from home or a shop along the way and keep it to hand. If you are visiting the Merlin theme parks their Coke Freestyle machines give free cold water. If you’re visiting a non-Merlin theme park you\u2019ll more than likely be able to ask for tap water for free. Either way, stay hydrated as your health is so crucial!\"\"<\/p>\n

Sun cream:<\/h2>\n

Waterproof suncream at the ready!! Top up regularly and ensure to keep your skin safe.\"\"<\/p>\n

Eating Early:<\/h2>\n

I\u2019m not sure if it\u2019s just me but I don\u2019t particularly like to eat when I\u2019m too hot. Therefore eat before the temperatures start to peak so you don\u2019t hungry! I tend to eat when the restaurants first open to avoid the large queues and the crowded territory!\"\"<\/p>\n

Water Rides Before The Afternoon:<\/h2>\n

As the temperatures start to peak you\u2019ll find the water rides will begin to assemble large queues. Therefore, get them done as early as possible that way you\u2019ll have longer to dry off and avoid the unpleasant lengthy queues. \"\"<\/span><\/p>\n

Dedicated Shade Time \/ Dark Rides:<\/h2>\n

I always think it\u2019s important to take some time out of your day to catch a rest and some water in a shaded space. During the summer months, the majority of dark rides tend to have a smaller queue than they would any other time of year. Therefore, embrace them and the shade they provide as a method of resting and catching a break from the beating sun!\"\"<\/p>\n

Pack Accordingly:<\/h2>\n

Don\u2019t pack an overly heavy theme park bag because it\u2019ll become something that will no doubt irritate you the hotter it gets. Pack nice and light with the core essentials like sun cream, money, phone etc. \"\"<\/span><\/p>\n

Prepare For Busy Queues:<\/h2>\n

There\u2019s no point heading to a theme park during the summer months and anticipate next to no queues. It will be heaving. Put together a plan of essential rides to do and stick to it as best as you can. That\u2019s the main advice to be given. Don\u2019t expect to get on every single ride because that way you\u2019ll not be too disappointed if it doesn\u2019t happen. \"\"<\/span><\/p>\n
