I popped out a little Instagram story a little while back with an option to vote for your favourite out of the two. It’s safe to say we had an overwhelming response! I also left a little box for you guys to send us your reasons for voting whichever one you did. So this blog post is based purely on your votes & reasoning & I will be sharing my thoughts as well. <\/span><\/p>\n

Hex:<\/span><\/h1>\n

Hex received over 98% of votes all told. Which I personally found an insane number of people loving Hex. A lot of you guys said the reasoning is due to the story, smells & music etc. Also, a lot of you guys said because you haven\u2019t heard\/experienced The Haunting. Which I round VERY<\/strong> interesting.\"\"<\/span><\/p>\n

I appreciate Hex for how it collaborates genuine local history but also adds the own touch to tie it into Alton Towers. I think it\u2019s the only kind of that kind which we have experienced (story wise). I fully appreciate it for that reason. Admittedly I\u2019m not overly fond of it and definitely wouldn\u2019t say for me it\u2019s a must-do every visit. I find the ride itself is quite sickly as it\u2019s one of the most intense madhouses we\u2019ve done. But if that area of the ride was little more chilled like the others we\u2019ve done we\u2019d be more inclined to experience it more often.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Haunting:<\/span><\/h1>\n

I am genuinely shocked by the outcome of the voting for The Haunting. It barely managed to pull in 10 votes & ended at 4%. A lot of the comments in regards to why people voted was more or less because it doesn\u2019t get the appreciation people to think it deserves. But also a lot of you guys didn\u2019t know what The Haunting even was. The voting aspect for this surprised me a lot in all honesty.\"\" <\/span><\/p>\n

Personally, for me, I prefer The Haunting. I like the theming as it never gets old & Drayton Manor has done an incredible job at keeping it fresh over the years. The recent improvements and upgrades have given the ride an insane amount of life and improved it massively. I can tolerate the ride itself a lot more than I can Hex maybe it\u2019s due to it being on a smaller scale. If you haven\u2019t experienced The Haunting I\u2019d recommend checking it out. It may surprise a few by how decent it is. <\/span><\/p>\n
