As a huge Gavin & Stacey fangirl, it was almost impossible to not stop off on the way home from Oakwood Theme Park. It\u2019s something I had planned for about a month and every day it got closer the more the excitement built. So here\u2019s a run down of our few hours in Barry!<\/span><\/p>\n

We arrived in Barry for 4:30 pm on a Saturday. There\u2019s a car park right next to the sea front and is a pay & display system. We paid \u00a33 for 4:30-11pm. Absolute bargain in my opinion.\"\" <\/span><\/p>\n

We headed towards the famous spots where Gavin & Stacey was filmed and went straight to the chip shop Boochy of course! Their chips were immense and cheap at that! Unfortunately, Nessa’s arcade was closed during our visit.\"\" <\/span><\/p>\n

But in the shop next door they sold Gavin & Stacey souvenirs. Of course, I picked up two mugs one for me & another for Ants brother who is also a huge Gavin & Stacey fan. For the two it only cost \u00a37.\"\" <\/span><\/p>\n

I found Barry a lot different to how I had anticipated it to be. I feel as if I had different impressions on it was all situated. Nonetheless, it was much more beautiful then I was expecting. Everyone was so friendly and social distancing was well obtained.\"\"<\/span><\/p>\n

We made a little pit stop off at Barry Island Pleasure Park. Whilst we were there we of course had to mop up the two coasters. I know one of which used to be located at Alton Towers but we didn\u2019t manage to grab it whilst it was there! The Pleasure Park has a lovely atmosphere and was reasonably priced too. If you haven\u2019t already visited we\u2019d definitely recommend doing so!\"\"<\/span><\/p>\n

Of course, we couldn\u2019t resist having a little drive up the HUGE hill to Stacey’s house too!\"\"<\/span><\/p>\n

Overall we had a little date day travelling across Wales. Barry Island has since become a special place in our hearts as we had such a lovely time. We will definitely be heading back there again someday soon. If you are in the area we\u2019d definitely recommend visiting!<\/span><\/p>\n
