Sadly this visit did not involve going inside the amusement park as it continues to remain closed. However, it does include two cute doggos!<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Last June I believe we did visit Wicksteed Park for their amusement park which I\u2019ll link the blog post HERE<\/strong>. But last Saturday our visit was to have a stroll around the main park itself & take our fur babies too. <\/span><\/p>\n

Parking & Charges:<\/span><\/h2>\n

Upon entry you have to obtain a parking ticket from the machine to gain access. It appeared that the parking was in fact free but there was an option to make a donation to the current fundraiser to save their amusement park. Of course, we made our contribution to that fund.\"\" <\/span><\/p>\n

Policies:<\/span><\/h2>\n

If you check on their website prior there\u2019s strict rules and policies to follow for yourself & fur babies. Dogs are not allowed of the lead except for their exercise field. You are not allowed to walk along the train track to help avoid extra maintenance cost for them etc.\"\" <\/span><\/p>\n

Social Distancing\/<\/span><\/h2>\n

Cleanliness:<\/span><\/h2>\n

We found everyone was VERY aware of getting close to one another. Of course, your bound to have the odd person who feels they are exclusive to the rules. But the majority were remaining a safe distance from one another.<\/span><\/p>\n

As we were exiting the park we made a quick drop of at the toilets and in the main plaza area. There was plenty of hand gels dotted around and especially in the touch point areas such as the car parking machines and toilets. I found the taps inside the toilets a nightmare. You had to hold them down for them to work, not ideal when you have two hands to wash! Other than that it was very well done in regards to keeping your hands clean!\"\"<\/span><\/p>\n

Overall:<\/span><\/h2>\n

We had a lovely time and visit. It was a lot shorter then we had remembered from our last visit. It took us an hour maybe an hour & half to walk around the entire park with a few stops. Our dogs loved the place a lot. Even if our puppy Frankie got a little spooked by the number of other dogs and wildlife near him.\"\"<\/span><\/p>\n

Of course, it is impossible to not see the amusement park as both sections of it are basically in the middle of the footpath. It was pretty eerie to see it closed off to the public. You could hear a pin drop around the site it was so quiet. We hope to get back inside there someday soon, but also please remember to continue supporting this amusement park via their fundraising page which I\u2019ll link HERE<\/strong>.\"\"<\/p>\n

It was safe to say we definitely tired then both out and they slept the entire car journey home. Its a very dog-friendly place to visit. We\u2019d highly recommend if your local to check it out & if you have dogs to there\u2019ll no doubt love it.\"\"<\/span><\/p>\n
