Can a rollercoaster be too smooth? Is there such thing as too smooth? My answer is yes. I feel some coasters can get away with been a dream on smoothness whereas others need those bumpy edges to make them more exciting. I\u2019ve only ever ridden one coaster which I\u2019d say was \u201ctoo smooth\u201d. Let\u2019s have a chat!<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

The Rollercoaster at GT YARMOUTH Pleasure Beach. That\u2019s can simply be far too smooth especially if the brake man is making it go at its slowest. We\u2019ve had a few rides where the edges were like glass which is lovely to some but on a wooden rollercoaster you expect a little bit of rough to make it feel like a wooden coaster. Look at Wickerman that\u2019s brand new but isn\u2019t like glass.\"\" <\/span><\/p>\n

The smoothness & speed made it feel extremely boring. Whereas we\u2019ve had other rides where the brake man has gone a little faster and it gave those harsher corners which make you feel more of a thrill. <\/span><\/p>\n

I definitely think more or less on a wooden rollercoaster that there\u2019s a thing such as too smooth. I\u2019m here for a smooth steel coaster like Thirteen & Icon. But definitely need woodies a little rougher.\"\"<\/span><\/p>\n
