But have you ever had higher expectations for a ride then once you return to the station your left feeling underwhelmed? Well, I have a few times &amp; here are some of those experiences.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<h3 class=\"p3\" style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong><span class=\"s2\">Derren Browns Ghost Train &#8211; Thorpe Park:<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n<p class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s2\">I only began following the back end of the construction for this ride but knew how much of a large scale ride it was. I had an insane high expectation as to what was going to be of this ride. So much so that I was fearing how scary it was going to be done. Yeah, it was scary during the first ride but nothing compared to what I had worked it up to be. It felt almost as if the marketing overcompensated on the fear factor. As wimpy old me wasn\u2019t all that scared. It felt and feels as if there are so much more options as to what they could have done. Again when I first saw this coaster and it running I had convinced myself this would be the best of the best. Yet I hit that brake run the first time and was like okay that was good but&#8230; I came away from the coaster for a couple of hours on the PR day and felt so underwhelmed. It wasn\u2019t what I had hoped, yet I learnt to love it. But since last May yet again that disappointed has returned!<img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-6549 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.coastersonthecoast.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/DDDA8D0D-2E50-4460-81E7-96954F0BCE02-1024x728.jpeg?resize=640%2C455&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"455\" \/><\/span><\/p>\n<h3 class=\"p3\" style=\"text-align: center;\"><span class=\"s2\">Velociraptor &#8211; Paultons Park:<\/span><\/h3>\n<p class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s2\">Going by the likes of Accelerator I had such high hopes for this ride experience to offer somewhat the same vibe. But truthfully I\u2019m not entirely sure of the differences between them but Velociraptor lacked a lot. I recently shared a blog post talking about hype surrounding rollercoasters which will be linked here. But even looking at this off ride it simply looks incredible. Yet I hit the brake run and just felt so disappointed. I was slightly confused as to what I had just experienced in all honesty. I always feel as if it\u2019s perhaps due to me been a little chunkier then the average person around the thigh area. So there was so much hype surrounding this attraction during that closure year and it really got us vibing about it. Genuinely I had put this ride on a peddle stool prior to experiencing it. Yet again, ended up been like okay that was good but where\u2019s the star quality in this? Of course I appreciate the pure authenticity surrounding the storyline, location and theming.
