Have you ridden every rollercoaster which once held some form of record for the number of inversions? Let\u2019s go through the list together, of course some of these we may not have ridden so, we won\u2019t be able to provide an opinion. I have also gathered all this information from various sites. We hope you enjoy & definitely let us know how many of the listed you\u2019ve experienced & which is your favourite!<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

I\u2019ve decided to begin this list from 5 inversions up to the current record. I didn\u2019t want this post to be too long. <\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Viper: Darien Lake – 5 Inversions:<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n

Located in New York this rollercoaster was built by the newly at the time merged Arrow Huss. Opening in 1982 and home at Darien Lake. It was once known for the worlds most inversions which only lasted a year.\"\"<\/span><\/p>\n

Vortex: Kings Island – 6 Inversions<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n

In 1983 Vortex opened at Kings Island in Ohio and held the new record of 6 inversions & the tallest rollercoaster at the time too. Unfortunately this rollercoaster no longer operates and closed on the 27th of October 2019. Did you manage to ride this rollercoaster before it\u2019s closure?<\/span><\/p>\n

Dragon Khan: PortAventura World- 8 Inversions:<\/span><\/h3>\n

Dragon Khan opened alongside PortAventura World back in 1995. It was the rollercoaster with the most inversions at that time which included 8 inversions. It\u2019s a coaster which we think is underrated and offers a fun experience.\"\"<\/span><\/p>\n

Colossus: Thorpe Park – 10 Inversions <\/span><\/h3>\n

Colossus was Thorpe Parks first dive into thrill rollercoasters & featured 10 inversions. It\u2019s a rollercoaster which often receives mixed opinions and definitely has some room for improvements in regards to the carriages & restraints.\"\"<\/span><\/p>\n

The Smiler: Alton Towers – 14 Inversions:<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n

Love it or hate it it\u2019s the current world record for the number of inversions. Is 14 one too many? It\u2019s a never ending debate that\u2019s for sure. Personally I think 14 is the maximum amount of inversions that should be on a coaster for sure. Will this record ever be beaten? Who knows?\"\"<\/span><\/p>\n
