<\/p>\nThere was rumours a while ago in regards to exactly what has been announced today. But now it’s confirmed by the park let’s have a chat about the current state of Valhalla & what we hope from the future. As always we’d love to know your opinions on this news!<\/p>\n
Let’s begin with sharing our love for Valhalla. It’s one of those rides which is hard to resist even in the coldest of weathers and even harder during summer. We’ve always found this to be one of the best dark rides in the UK and one which we adore deeply. However we aren’t naive to the fact it has many areas for improvements. Therefore we are really excited for what’s in store for the 125th Anniversary of Pleasure Beach in 2021.<\/p>\n
Unfortunately it was a ride that was hit & miss in regards to effects and whether it would be worth getting so wet. There was a few rides a few years ago where you were almost in complete darkness with little to no effects working. Yet you still get equally as wet which wasn’t always worth while. We have had a few pretty decent rides in the past few years as well where almost every effect worked. They were always the highlight rides in my opinion. There’s no denying it deserved all those awards it’s won over the years and is a staple ride amongst the UK. From the audio to theming it’s a strong ride and one which is a true highlight from Pleasure Beach.<\/p>\n
So this announcement is something we had hoped for in all honesty. It’s definitely in desperate need for a refurbishment and work in our opinion. One thing we hope doesn’t happen is it strays too far from the current theming and become a shadow of itself. We would love to see some improvements in regards to effects becoming more reliable with more consistency when it comes to actually working. I’d love to see some more modern theming added as well in those areas that are a little more blank. The upper room with the giant vikings there’s not much improvements needed in our opinion. However we would love to see older animatronics replaced and more easier effects used like projection mapping to keep the effects more sufficient.<\/p>\n
We did begin to notice the last season or two that you were able to see more of the building & ride in areas where you shouldn’t be able to. Which was always a sad sight as that used to be fully covered or at least disguised well enough to ignore. So improvements to hiding the inside show building would be fab. But can we all pray we don’t loose the iconic audio?![](\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.coastersonthecoast.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/img_8362.jpg?resize=960%2C640&ssl=1\")

Either way this ride is in need of refurbishment and we are very excited to see what happens. Of course there’s no denying we will be sad to see this ride closed next season we are sure it’ll be worth it.<\/p>\n
