Although this event has ended now, we thought we\u2019d share our thoughts. There won\u2019t be any photos from the beach. We hope you all enjoy & feel free to share your views across our social Medias. They will all be linked at the end of the blog.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

We haven\u2019t watched Love Island and we\u2019re not all that interested in doing so either. So when this event was announced we weren\u2019t too sure about it however the longer opening hours won us over. It’s not often outside of Fright Nights you get such long theme park opening hours to embrace those night rides, it was hard to resist.<\/p>\n

We tried to enjoy as much of the event as possible. After 6pm the rides and attractions become very quiet. Almost every coaster dropped down to one train unfortunately. We headed to the beach to see what was to offer although the weather wasn\u2019t great. Truthfully it did cater for everyone with the beach been accessible for all. There was plenty to do with games, meet and greets, the chance to hire a VIP hut etc.<\/p>\n

The atmosphere was one of the highlight with the latest hits playing throughout the park. When we first visited Thorpe Park one main reason, for loving the place was the music that was played prior to IMA score. So during this event we loved the atmosphere created. In a sense it created a holiday feeling similar to Blackpool Pleasure Beach.\"\"<\/p>\n

If you didn\u2019t like Love Island like us it was the perfect chance to ride the rides during dark. All the rides become very quiet after 6pm which gave the chance to do the rides which were busy throughout the day. The only downfall was majority of the coasters had dropped to one train. Although it was quiet it seemed as if the queues were longer. Mainly on Colossus is where you notice it the most as it\u2019s not a short ride by all means. Also majority of the family attractions closed early like Rumba Rapids, Rocky Express etc. Which didn\u2019t bother us all that much however those with younger children it may cause issues.<\/p>\n

We really enjoyed this event as mentioned above for the night rides and atmosphere more than anything else. It\u2019s the perfect opportunity to make the most of the quieter rides. We\u2019re hoping to see this type of event return to Thorpe next season, even if it\u2019s not themed to Love Island and perhaps just summer lates. Thorpe Park this summer has had probably the best opening hours out of the rest of the UK parks with three days a week 10 to 10.<\/p>\n
