It\u2019s that time of year, even though I\u2019m writing this in 30+ degree heat, which feels wrong, but we\u2019re approaching the best time of the year, the scare season. Here are 5 returning scare mazes I\u2019m hyped for! <\/span><\/p>\n

Diabolus: Visum Mortis – Doncaster Fear Factory:<\/span><\/h3>\n

Last season was our first time visiting Fear Factory and what a delightful pleasure it was. This was one of those mazes that had us trembling afterwards. It was actually horrendous in the most magnificent ways. The entire layout, scares and the fact that it\u2019s just your group going through was brilliant. Some of the greatest jumps we had all season came from this maze alone. I genuinely had dreams about nuns for a couple of weeks afterwards, I\u2019m not even joking. We\u2019re exceptionally thrilled to get back inside here and are pleased to see it return.\"\" <\/span><\/p>\n

Edge of the Forest – Alton Towers Scarefest:\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n

As with any fresh maze in its first season, there\u2019s always some room for improvement and with it returning for the second season you just know feedback will have been heard and acted on. We personally loved this maze last year it was really fun and I quite liked the repetitiveness of the maze it felt incredibly disorienting and I know that\u2019s controversial given that\u2019s something most didn\u2019t like about the maze. It was also refreshing to have something on this site too and themed loosely around Dark Forest. However, I\u2019m intrigued to see what\u2019s revised since last year.<\/span><\/p>\n

Trailers – Thorpe Park Fright Nights<\/span><\/h3>\n

It really is a golden maze there\u2019s forever potential for changes and it just can never get old regardless of how long it sticks around it\u2019s a limitless maze really. We\u2019ve always cherished Trailers since day one of its opening. I\u2019m someone who adores the history of mazes and the park itself and this is the perfect variety of maintaining nostalgia alive all under one roof. It’s also confirmed there\u2019ll be new scenes as well so it\u2019s forever retaining the constant development and fresh appeal each year. I can\u2019t wait to meet some of the traditional Thorpe Park Fright Nights characters once again.\"\" <\/span><\/p>\n

Doom Town – Tulleys Shocktoberfest <\/span><\/h3>\n

The most beautifully put together scare maze where you feel as if you are genuinely heading through a little town. The stores you see in your local town centre have a funny spin on it and filled with zombies it\u2019s truly magic! There\u2019s so much right and done effortlessly well with this maze that even if you don\u2019t get the heftiest of jump scares it\u2019s unimaginable to simply not admire the theming, set pieces and overall creativity behind it. What\u2019s also amazing since I began writing this blog post it has been confirmed there\u2019s a brand new scene being added for this year!<\/span><\/p>\n

The Village – Xtreme Scream Park:<\/span><\/h3>\n

Oldie but goldie and quite frankly the one maze I always ponder if I have the capacity to head through as it simply terrifies the life out of me especially the finale in the church. It\u2019s revolting in the best sort of way. I\u2019ve never headed through this maze without almost reaching tears by the time I leave it. I just pray this sticks around for as long as probable as it truly is one of the best UK scare mazes to exist.\"\" <\/span><\/p>\n

There are 5 of my most anticipated returning scare mazes in 2026. I can\u2019t wait to report back on how they were once we\u2019ve experienced them.
