It\u2019s the first time we\u2019ve visited Blackpool Madame Tussaud\u2019s in over a year. It was exciting to see what changes have been made. <\/span><\/p>\n

Entering The Attraction:<\/span><\/h3>\n

As always it was a breeze to enter the attraction. A staff member stood at the door scanning pre-booked tickets and directing those who needed to purchase their tickets. It took us around 5 minutes to enter as we were bang on for opening. Of course, we did visit on an off-peak Monday which is to why it was so quiet.\"\"<\/span><\/p>\n

The Wax Figures & Sets:<\/span><\/h3>\n

Upon entering it was very apparent that changes had been made with the first room feeling a lot smaller than I can remember. Perhaps nothing has changed and it was just us? I don\u2019t know. This room is based on Strictly Come Dancing. Whereas some of the TV presenters and shows from this room have been moved whereas others have been removed altogether. The Doctor Who section looks better than it did during our last visit with extra bits added. Upstairs the Gaming YouTuber remains (I\u2019m sorry I\u2019m not down with the cool kids and don\u2019t know who this guy is) this is where you can now find Keith Lemon too. The I\u2019m a Celebrity section receives no changes and Ant & Dec definitely need a little love to freshen their appearance to suit existing times. Again, it seemed the sports section felt a little briefer than beforehand. Nothing really has changed within the Marvel section and it still looks as fab as the day it opened. Rover Return is a firm favourite of mine and it\u2019s nice to see additional Coronation Street cast added including David Platt (he looks VERY good).\"\"

The music section appeared to be lacking a few faces in my opinion. I\u2019m unsure as to whether there\u2019s a reason for this or if it was me. The Beatles have their own devoted section of this area which looks really cool. Into the Royal Section which again felt a little bare in compared to previous years with some Royals missing which I\u2019m unsure as to whether it\u2019s due to them perhaps not being relevant to the main few. The Festival area now has the Wax Hand Moulding inside which has reduced the area but the updated version Olly Murs is much better and KSI who\u2019s recently been added looks fab too. The next section of this room felt relatively disjointed and outdated with the likes of Theresa May & Boris Johnson remaining\u2026 not too sure what\u2019s happening with that if I\u2019m honest. The final room is fab and is very leisurely on the eyes for sure. As you enter you are greeted by the newly added Lewis Capaldi as well as the famous RuPaul Drag Race catwalk. The walls in here are very Instagramable. Then that\u2019s the end of the attraction.\"\" <\/span><\/p>\n

Duration & Shop: <\/span><\/h3>\n

It took us around 25 minutes to complete that\u2019s with a stop midway and us taking our time. I\u2019m unsure whether there\u2019s work happening to make the attraction significantly shorter than usual or if this is the usual. I can\u2019t remember this lacking in the duration before if I\u2019m honest. The Shop itself is full of goodies including Madame Tussaud\u2019s branding as well as bands & artists. Of course, Merlin Annual Passes do receive discounts too.\"\"<\/span><\/p>\n

Overall: <\/span><\/h3>\n

If I\u2019m honest I can’t recall Madame Tussaud\u2019s being quite this brief and some areas & figures feel they really need an update. Of course, if compared to the London version it\u2019s quite prominent which will be the better one in my opinion mainly due to the extra attractions inside including the ride, 4D cinema, chamber of horrors etc. Blackpool is still fun and worth visiting but it definitely needs some type of TLC or added attraction like the Chamber of Horrors to make it even better value for money in my opinion.\"\" <\/span><\/p>\n
