Mardi Gras returned for another season at Alton Towers but this year certainly did feel bigger & better! So, this is our review of our visit!<\/span><\/p>\n

Decor & Theming: <\/span><\/h3>\n

Tower Street looked fabulous as always! As soon as you entered the park you\u2019re instantly welcomed with what feels like a festival type of vibe. This continues around the lake as well. There\u2019s also a gorgeous painting nearby Battle of the Galleons and I honestly wish they sold it in the shop as I\u2019d buy it immediately! The artist behind the painting is so talented.\"\"<\/span><\/p>\n

Audio: <\/span><\/h3>\n

Nice cheerful and groovy! It\u2019s not the same audio on repeat either which is lovely there are a few different tracks. A firm favourite of mine was the Mardi Gras is one that\u2019s a really feel-good track.\"\" <\/span><\/p>\n

Food Street: <\/span><\/h3>\n

For the first time at the event, we finally ate on Food Street. We headed to the little camper can which was fish & chips. We both had a scampi and chips which was beautiful \u00a39 each wasn\u2019t too bad either. The portion size was reasonable too. As always a lovely pint of from the Mardi Bar (names on point). There was a variety of food options including sweet, savoury and meaty.\"\"<\/span><\/p>\n

Entertainment: <\/span><\/h3>\n

Entertainment is widely spread around the lake including a big show on Tower Street. As you walk pass Spinball Whizzer another little stage with a saxophone player with the core of the entertainment on Food Street. Frequent dances from the Krewes along the street section then the main stage on the lawns where the body of the seating is. There was a wide variety of entertainment that can be watched on this stage including a full band.\"\" <\/span><\/p>\n

Parade: <\/span><\/h3>\n

Something I didn\u2019t predict from Alton Towers was a parade but my gosh it was incredible!! We need more. It wasn\u2019t too long but the vibes it brought were insane. It began over on Food Street and then ended at the bottom of Tower Street with a big party-like atmosphere. It\u2019s something we need more of across our UK theme parks for sure.\"\" <\/span><\/p>\n

Overall: <\/span><\/h3>\n

This has to be hands down the the best year for Mardi Gras in my opinion. It\u2019s grown so much and only got better with time as well. The amount of entertainment was tremendous with the parade to end the day which needs to happen more frequently. The food range was fantastic as it weren\u2019t just food Street instead the outlets across the park also joined in with themed food. It truly has come on leaps & bounds and hopefully, this effect will be passed onto events like Scarefest this season.\"\" <\/span><\/p>\n
