Legoland Windsor & Merlin Annual Pass kindly invited us along to check out the brand-new attraction for 2023 at Legoland yesterday. This attraction is quite literally what is said in the name. But here are our thoughts. We\u2019d like to say a HUGE thank you to both teams for having us along! <\/span><\/p>\n

Please note this review is purely based on honest opinions and is not swayed by the fact we were invited to the exclusive preview. <\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

Exterior: <\/span><\/h3>\n

I think the exterior looks really fun and appealing. I\u2019ll always be sad to see the large dinosaur gone but I definitely think this is a decent replacement. It looks really epic too. I\u2019m not completely sure if there\u2019ll be keeping the red carpet and photo opportunity board at the side but if they do that would be really fun.\"\" <\/span><\/p>\n

Inside The First Room:<\/span><\/h3>\n

As you enter the building you\u2019re instantly welcomed with this insanely stunning Lego model of a Ferrari which has over 400,000 Lego bricks to be developed. Quite honestly, that itself is mesmerising. Dotted around that same room are lots of photos from Ferraris alongside some driver helmets are also made out of Lego. It\u2019s a brilliant way to make this attraction more than simply building & racing as it is naturally very fascinating too. You could spend a respectable chunk of time just taking everything in across this room.\"\"\"\"

The Main Attraction Itself: <\/span><\/h3>\n

The next room you enter is any Lego and Car fans sort of paradise really. There is so much to explore it\u2019s tough to know where to start. But let me tell you start with building your little car in the middle of the room. From there just carry it around with you and you\u2019ll be surprised at the possibilities you get to do with them. So, the apparent ones are racing it down the physical tracks that are surrounding you and trust me it\u2019s so fun to do.\"\"<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"Over nearby the exit is the Virtual race. The procedure that\u2019s in use for this is remarkable. You pop your car under the screen you\u2019re using above into a little hub almost. Then it\u2019ll scan your physical model car onto the screen you can then customise it to your own colours, change the tyres etc. Once you\u2019re through this stage you\u2019ll have your own reg which is how you follow where you are on the huge virtual board in front of you. There\u2019s a button which gives extra boosts as well. It really is insanely fun. I\u2019m not someone who particularly is into cars but I found this attraction fabulous. \"\"\"\"

Overall:<\/h3>\n

This is one of my favourite non-ride attractions at Legoland. It delivers such a unique take on things in my opinion I was really blown away by the technology behind the Virtual Race track. Given I anticipated it just to be some screens to create a car virtually not you have to have your own model to scan through the system. As I spoke of above I don\u2019t find myself all that into cars or even know a tremendous ordeal about them but I absolutely enjoyed this. As with anything at Legoland, there is so much to enjoy for the whole family and yet again they\u2019ve only added to that draw. But I can reassure you you\u2019ll find yourself for hours in this building trying new designs of cars and experimenting on the tracks, it\u2019s addictive!\"\" <\/span><\/p>\n

This attraction is now open as of today (27th of May) at Legoland Windsor! <\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n
