I have shared a three part in-depth series from our travel experience. They are quite lengthy so if that\u2019s not something you can be bothered to read that\u2019s no worry as I\u2019ll share some more shorter tips we\u2019ve discovered from this time of flying. With any luck these will be helpful to those wanting to travel the same way. <\/span><\/p>\n

Please note we flew with Airfrance in January 2023. Things may change if you read this in years to come or during different weather conditions. <\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Check In Online<\/span><\/h3>\n

Flying with Airfrance their online check in doesn\u2019t open until midnight the night before your flight. It safes an incredible amount of time at the airport and means you can add your boarding passes on your phone. <\/span><\/p>\n

Leave with 3 Hours Prior to your Flight<\/span><\/h3>\n

Regardless of whether you have checked bags or not leave your home with plenty of time free. You never know how much Queueing will have to be done at the airport whether that\u2019s for border control or security. Early hours flight which we had the security just opened meaning we were through and done relatively quickly. Whereas coming back we only had 45\/30 minutes free in the airport. <\/span><\/p>\n

Weight & Measure Your Luggage <\/span><\/h3>\n

I\u2019m that person who will have major anxiety when it comes down to luggage. So, weigh your bags keep your scales inside the suitcase too for your return trip. Don\u2019t forget to measure your bags and ensure they match your allowance too. <\/span><\/p>\n

Book Transfers for An Hour Post-Flight<\/span><\/h3>\n

Don\u2019t book your transfers close to your expected landing time because things can happen that means you\u2019ll miss it. So, I\u2019d recommend booking your transfers for anywhere after an hour post landing. <\/span><\/p>\n

Travel Insurance & Backup Money:<\/span><\/h3>\n

Linking in with the above ensure you have travel insurance as well as backup money. You never know if your transfers are going to be missed resorting in an additional ticket needing to be booked. There\u2019s endless possibilities to count in that will be helped if you have travel insurance as well emergency funds for those occasions too. <\/span><\/p>\n

Research <\/span><\/h3>\n

Ensure you are familiar with the travel side of things such as where you need to go, the signs to follow and basic French words that you may need. Staff unfortunately during our experience are very unhelpful and more to the point rude. So, you are better of doing your own research and having a full knowledge of what you need and where you need to be in order to make it all go smoothly. <\/span><\/p>\n

Carry Cash:<\/span><\/h3>\n

If you\u2019re going to use the train as your transfer to your end destination then carrying some spare cash is essential particularly if you\u2019re going to need the toilet. The toilets are \u20ac1 each to use sometimes the card machine will be broken. It\u2019s just best to carry some euros to ensure you don\u2019t end up bursting for the loo with no possibility of going. <\/span><\/p>\n

Keep Your Phone Lead To Hand<\/span><\/h3>\n

Thankfully the airports & train stations tend to have USB ports in the arms of the chairs for guests to charge their devices. If your someone who needs their phones charged for their Tickets definitely carry a lead to hand. Make use of these free charging points to ensure your travel goes smoothly. <\/span><\/p>\n
