It\u2019s been a hot moment since our September trip to Chessington World of Adventures & let\u2019s be honest life has been insanely busy for us. As a quick break from all things spooky I thought I\u2019d drop this amongst them. I\u2019m playing catch-up on that trip’s blog posts. Starting with the brand new area for 2022 at Chessington! One of which I didn\u2019t exactly see all that much coverage from. So, I hope you enjoy reading my thoughts!<\/span><\/p>\n

Signage & Theming:<\/span><\/h3>\n

The area once was quite plain but now it has a whole heap of atmosphere and sights to see. There is signs across the entire area and buildings. Some of which are adorable nods to past attractions such as Bubbleworks. For me, little things like that truly make an area that bit more special and I love to see this kind of Easter egg. It\u2019s a wholesome and complete feeling within this area due to the amount of attention to detail & theming throughout.\"\"<\/span><\/p>\n

The Rides:<\/span><\/h3>\n

You have the previously occupied rides such as Blue Barnacle and Seastorm both of which fit this area perfectly. Seastorm is looking fab after its small refurbishment to fit into the area. There is also a brand new ride Barrel Bail Out which is a small splash bash. I didn\u2019t realise what could fit into this small area until seen it for myself & it\u2019s impressive just how compacted yet perfectly sized it feels. Alongside the Splash Bash, there is the former Timber Boat from Thorpe Park. Yet again the area looks great for the size they had to play with.\u00a0 \"\"<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Actors & Trail:<\/span><\/h3>\n

Something we did not expect to see was themed characters dotted around nearby little stalls where you can get involved with the trail. Each stall has their own theme and all of the actors & actresses were fab! It\u2019s a really fun way to get guests involved with understanding & simply enhancing the story-telling theme that is very consistent throughout.\"\"<\/span><\/p>\n

Audio:<\/span><\/h3>\n

With anything, Chessington does their audio is always on point this being no exception.\"\"<\/span><\/p>\n

Overall:<\/span><\/h3>\n

I never realised how much this small area was needed until it got put together. It\u2019s made Chessington feel that bit more different and special. The area is something which I would have never expected to work with the small amount of space they have but they have utilised it in such a manner that it feels bigger than it was. The additional rides are always good to see as it just helps to spread the queues out elsewhere. With the addition of the next new area next season the queues will be even more bearable elsewhere. It\u2019s lovely to see the park put in time, money & effort in simply bettering themselves in the sense these guys have done. Investment is only becoming common with the southern Merlin parks and it\u2019s fab to see!\"\"<\/span><\/p>\n
