Events have become more of a thing in the UK across the theme parks in the past few years. It\u2019s lovely to see parks experiment and begin to present new events to their line-up and just dip their toe into new themes etc. This summer is the launch of Thorpe Park\u2019s newest event: Carnival and the name are self-explanatory as to what the theme is across the park. But as you know by now Thorpe Park does go all out\u2026 <\/span><\/p>\n

Themed Audio:<\/span><\/h3>\n

We all know now that Thorpe Park never does their themed audio in halves. Typically most rides receive a new overlay and it surrounds the entire park itself. Carnival has been no exception to that. The audio is a lot different to what I had visualised in my mind but it was amazing nevertheless. A real upbeat & cheerful feel surrounded the park which made the atmosphere so joyful.\"\" <\/span><\/p>\n

Theming & Merchandise:<\/span><\/h3>\n

Theming was on point as always too. Again it doesn\u2019t get contained to any specific area of the park it is widely spread. By all means, the two core hubs for entertainment were themed the most. But passing under the entrance you are immediately greeted by this event.\"\" <\/span><\/p>\n

With most events, it has its merchandise range which I think has to be some of the best yet. It is stunning. The Stealth side of it is something which I\u2019m obsessed with. <\/span><\/p>\n

Entertainment:<\/span><\/h3>\n

There is such a wide variety of entertainment to be explored. From fire dancers to fortune tellers it does have it all this event. Our experience with the fortune teller was hilarious. It\u2019s not one to be taken too seriously. All of the acts which we managed to catch were tremendous. The whole entertainment team felt so well put together & produced. It did feel like a step up from the Mardi Gras side of entertainment which we have seen previously. The float which is driven around the park looks fab. All of the performer’s outfits looked great and their personalities all felt so effortlessly done. My one thing for improvement is less of a wait between acts on the main carnival stage as we struggled to see them all & enjoy the rides.\"\" <\/span><\/p>\n

Food & Drink:<\/span><\/h3>\n

A regular appearance from these events is additional food outlets with themed food to match the event. The Dockyard area has a food street almost of various things to try. But also over the in the Carnival bit nearby Colossus is more. We didn\u2019t try any of the offerings but they did look good!\"\"<\/span><\/p>\n

Trailers: Breakout at Bozos:<\/span><\/h3>\n

Nothing makes my heart any warmer than heading inside spooky attractions. Admittedly, this was tamed down for this event but it truly is a sensory overload with many pops of laughter & handful of scares. I\u2019ll be sharing a full review to come in the next few days so keep your eyes peeled.\"\" <\/span><\/p>\n

Overall: <\/span><\/h3>\n

Yet another amazing event hosted by the park. It was lovely to see how they took this one more or less down the family road and made it very inclusive for all to enjoy. There was so much to do & explore it\u2019s probably the most I have seen away from Fright Nights. All of the actors were on top form and the park-wide staff were fabulous too. The modifications & tweaks made to the theming, audio & recycling of old items were fab to see. It\u2019s an event which everyone can enjoy regardless of age. If this is how Thorpe Park is striving to head going forward then I think they are on to a winner.\"\" <\/span><\/p>\n
