That day came and we were kindly invited to visit the park to attend the media launch (thanks guys!) So, did Flamingo Land live up to what I had expected?

Getting In & Parking:

Arriving into the car park and finding a space was easy. The car park is right outside the front of the entrance which is always handy if you need to access the car. Getting into the park again was simple but bear in mind we did enter at the side gate assigned to the event.

The Media Event:

Attending the media event was fab. We were catered for both breakfast & lunch & had a free bar. As part of the event guests also received plenty of goodies which you can see over on our social media accounts via our IG reel & Tik Tok. This also meant we had access to the VIP ride package that included fast tracks & got exclusive ride time on SIK. It was our first time experiencing a booster bike Vekoma launch & the first of the kind for Mumbo Jumbo! We have found our new favourite Vekoma SLC as well. I’ll probably share a full blog discussing the coasters as there’s so much to say haha. A large amount of rides alone is well worth a visit. There’s just so much to explore & enjoy but more greatly for all kinds of ages & preferences as well!

Throughputs:

My one gripe with the park is low throughputs across all attractions except Mumbo Jumbo & Hero although that could also possibly run more carriages too. We visited on a Saturday and it was reasonably busy and normal queues were fairly long but it did seem manageable. But if SIK is going to be a big success I believe it will this will hastily become an issue I think. The bulk of coasters could easily profit from two trains at least. It’s something I hope will rectify in the future but I’m unsure of the possibility of that. I also ain’t familiar enough with the park to know if our visit was anywhere near as busy as it gets during the summer holidays.

The Zoo:

Upon visiting I forgot the zoo was there! We took a lovely stroll around towards the end of our day it was exceptionally peaceful & stunning. The animals all seemed to be so satisfied & looked healthy which is definitely what you want to see in these environments. We spent a fair bit of time watching the tiger do its a thing and around the hippo pool. It was that replenishing break from the thrills & rides to wind down & relax. I also cherished the perspective of the theme park from areas of the zoo. It was so picturesque.

Value for Money:

I appreciate the fact we were gifted entry but I would happily pay to visit again next year. The amount to do to the pricing is more than reasonable in my opinion. I will admit the low throughputs could be one of those issues if you visit during peak times. But there is simply so much to do & explore at this park that the costs of visiting are brilliant value. It’s somewhere we will visit once a year only due to the distance it is from our home else it would be more & potentially even a contemplation on season passes for us.

Entertainment Offering:

Something I did not anticipate was the amount of entertainment available. There was a stage nearby SIK and another stage at the back of Hero. Both of which provided entertainment for guests. After coming home & looking on their website it seems there are multiple daily shows & events on!

Overall:

Before visiting I did not predict the park to be how it was. There was so much more than I had comprehended there to be & do. The fact dogs are allowed in the park is something I adore & for a fact Loki will be joining us next time we visit. Quite honestly, we both fell in love with the place. It had this feel-good vibe across the park. The majority of the rollercoasters were unique and varied from the conventional ones you find elsewhere. It was everything other than what we had imagined. It’s a park I do wish we had nearer to home and season passes too. We already can’t wait to revisit next season.

—-

Once again, we can’t thank the team for inviting us enough.
