I began loving theme parks from a fairly young age. Therefore I thought I’d talk about what I once loved & hated in comparison to now. I’d love to know yours below in the comments.
As a child growing up this was one of them coaster types which I simply couldn’t get enough of. I used to break my neck to experience these as a child. These were the coaster types I simply adored and wouldn’t batter an eyelid about riding.
Unfortunately this has certainly ended for me. I no longer find these coaster types all that enjoyable. In fact I much rather just avoid them, but a cred is a cred after all right?
Growing up I never even felt dizzy when riding these types of flat rides. I could simply sit on them the entire day and not feel a thing other than happiness. It was always a struggle as my family weren’t all that keen on them neither.
I honestly wish I could say this is the same. But the older I’ve got the more I’ve found myself getting dizzy a lot easier. These type of rides now aren’t great on my stomach but if I could I’d definitely wish for my childhood resilience back!
The thought of inversions or a tall rollercoaster was simply my worst fear. I’m not entirely sure as to why. I was quite wimpy when it came down to this kind of thing. Even the smallest of the smallest children’s coasters would scare me.
I legit can’t get enough of these types of rollercoasters now. After riding Shockwave which was my first ”big” rollercoaster I simply fell in love with bigger rides.
Anything which could of potentially made me jump I simply avoided. The thought of been scared was so off putting for me like I didn’t want to scream out of fear because something has jumped out at me. I was always that child who didn’t want to be scared or spooked by something that wasn’t real. I guess it was probably my pride in all honesty & lack of ability to laugh at something along them lines.
This is a more recent dislike which I’ve overcome. That feeling I described above continued into 2018 so that’s more then 10 years worth of avoiding I done. The most horrendous things once scared me. Now some of my favourite rides of all-time is actually horror based. That’s how times have changed!
