Since last November I have been meaning to share this blog post really. But here’s all about the ride which we think is the best we’ve ever encountered….
Of course we are talking about The Hollywood Tower Hotel: The Twilight Zone.
There’s so many layers which add up to this been our favourite ride of all time. One of which is of course the theming. We have grown to love eerie like themes and this demonstrates this beautifully. The theming in the queue line really sets the tone and tension for the remainder of the ride. I adored every inch of the theming. Pre show was fab and the room it was set in was eerie and it really added to the beauty. Even though the language is french the English subtitles definitely assist in the understanding of its storyline.
Something which really surprised me was how fab the operations were. The queue was always really quick at going down and the ride itself had very high throughputs. The staff were always batching two sides which really did help with the smoothness of operations. Not to forget the way they batch they put you into numbers and call each number out for the each row and it does surprisingly hurries the ride up.
Something which I feel is overlooked for this ride is the staff themselves. They really do add so much to the overall experience. Some of them acted really creepily which complimented the theme so well. They were always in character and made the experience so much more intense.
I personally dislike drop towers a lot but this felt completely different. Perhaps it’s the way the vehicle is designed and the fact your feet are on the floor I ain’t too sure. But the fact you legit have a seatbelt really adds to the ride intensity in my opinion. The sheer amount of floating you feel is insane. My favourite place to load is the upper floor as you get the drop immediately. The feeling is out of this world like it offers so much air time but it hits that level of pure fear. During our first ride I was so taken back by the sensation this ride offered it was insane. But it’s also a very addictive feeling. As for the storyline it continues perfectly throughout the ride experience with several different scenes been shown. Not to forget the iconic moment of overlooking Studios park before plunging downwards. It’s so fab I can’t even explain it properly like.
It’s simply the best ride we’ve ever encountered and I can’t express that enough. We’ve never had any feeling like it and the sheer fear of floating and not touching your seat adds to the fun for sure. There’s so much to this one attraction it’s almost impossible to fit it into one blog post. But we simply adore this ride and can’t wait to experience it again sometime soon.
What’s your thoughts on Tower of Terror?
